8.4~~I hit a superfecta! 9th race, Del Mar simulcast, 2-8-7-1...for $347. Hardly $2900, but that's still some coin...
Stopped by my Auntie Lita's place in Federal Way to hang out before I ship out to San Antonio. Cousins Rod and Rachele got their at the same time I did, and it was coo too talk to 'em. Rod and I decide to play pool at Vintage's on Pacific Highway...Rachele couldn't go 'cause she needed some shut-eye for Sea-Tac duties the next day. We played three games of 8-ball, and surprisingly I took all of 'em. After goofin' around there, Rod wanted to hit up the "Old Country Buffet," but it closed at 8:30PM. Eventually we ended up hittin' up Taco Del Mar and grabbin' some of their trademark Super Burritos...
Overall, the day had a real "give and you shall receive" feel to it. At church I gave friend Abe my summer IMA membership card after he mentioned he hadn't been there in almost a month 'cause he didn't have one, and also after he pointed out the excess "loose-ness" around the tricep and rear deltoid area of his left arm [~ha, ha]. And while we were grubbin' at TDM, my cousin mentioned he's been lookin' for a foosball table, so I told him he could have mine, since it was just sitting in the shed at home collectin' dust. Of course, to balance it out, I "received" at the Emerald track. =] Sunday's been real fruitful...

8.2~~Had lunch with brutha Gar Chan at Orange King, and kicked back at his Maplewood premises for a couple of hours watchin' cartoons and conversatin'. Mostly just chillin' and talkin' about what's been goin' on as of late, such as the Air National Guard training I'll be leaving for soon, and the mutual experience of bein' unspoken for in terms of employment since graduating fr. the U of Washington. It's always coo hangin' out w/ bro Gar... [ha, ha..."bro Gar"...sounds a lot like how an ethnic Japanese person would say "Blogger"...ha, ha...]
Bounced at around 5:30PM to run some quick errands at me'z house, and so I'd be on time at my aunt's house to have the ol' fashioned Sirloin steak she said she'd cook up for me at 7:00PM. Mouth wateringly delectable pair of one-inch prime cut w/ the jumbo sized A-1 sauce standin' by..."palatial satisfaction" at its culinary best... =] My aunt takes pride in feeding her troops well, so yeah, I ended up havin' not one, but one plus one...
8.3~~After puttin' in three-hours of liftin' and cardio on the courts at the IMA, I ventured out to the Emerald track at around 4:45 to catch the pro bono entrance as usual, and to scope out the last handful of races on the Del Mar simulcast from SoCal. Man, came achingly close to hitting a $2900 superfecta...keyed the 10 and the 4 for 1st and 2nd [nailed it], had the 6 for third [23 to 1], and I thought the 5 had hung on for 4th, but it ended up fading to 5th as the 8 horse barely got past it by a paltry ~half a length~. As in ~half a length~ of a freakin' horse! So frustrating, but lookin' at things half-full, tomorrow evening I've got one more shot at the ever elusive multi-G pay out...
