That's the flick "Million Dollar Baby." Very emotionally gripping...

"...3 day wknd.!"

It's been very relaxing so far, especially after 12 straight days of being on the job. Well, yesterday I kicked it off by watching the women's collegiate ITA tennis tournament hosted by the UW at the Nordstrom Tennis Center. I came away quite impressed w/ UW's #1 singles player Dea Sumantri. Homies Andy and Dindo are good friends of her's, and it's too bad they didn't get the chance to introduce me to her since she was in a hurry, though she did glance and smile at me as she made her way down to the court to start her match. I hadn't seen her play in person up to that point, but being ranked #9 in the collegiate US rankings, I knew it'd be fascinating to watch. She doesn't have overwhelming power, but she makes up for that w/ impeccable steadiness, placement and shot selection. Not too surprisingly, she won the match handily, putting her in the final today. I wish her the best of luck in winning the championship. Andy and I were also quite smitten w/ Vana, one of the Arizona State singles players. It's not just 'cause she just happened to be Croatian, blonde, have a bombshell gorgeous Anna Kournikiva-esque athletic build, w/ a sultry accent to boot...she really showed her resolve by winning her last 2 sets after losing the 1st one 6-7. She definitely bounced back beautifully. OK, I 'fess up, and I'm sure I speak for Andy when I say this, but...how she bounced around the court in that inverted micro-mini skirt coupled w/ the grunting in a beautiful accent just brought it over the top. He, he...

[*Fry's comp.!]

On Fri., after my daily ritual of perusing the Fry's ad during my 1st break on the job, I decided that I'd take the plunge and buy the HP desktop I'd been eyeing for wks. [*Hawaii '0-Five]

Last wknd. during my Air Force UTA, I found out that our 2 wk. AFT this year will be held fr. July 11-22nd...in Diamond Head, Hawaii! I'm pretty stoked about this, since I haven't yet experienced what Hawaii's like. I'm sure it'll be hot and humid, that's a given. Hopefully we'll get copious free time to play volleyball, surf, partake in scrumptious Hawaiian food, and just plain chill out on the beach scopin' out the beautiful scenery...he, he. =]
