Our squadron did physical fitness exams yesterday, and supposedly I'm the fittest guy in the squadron, scoring 18 on all the tests w/ an overall "fitness age" registering as 18...the optimum age. It's funny, a lot of the people ended up scoring much higher than their actual ages, registering as 55-65 years old, *decades* older than their real ages. I garnered a lot of positive attention from gettin' the most desirable score, and now suddenly I'm the squadron posterboy for physical perfection...ha, ha. For humor purposes, the people from my shop even posted all their results sheets on the board emblazoned w/ the title "SatCom Old Farts Home." They singled my results sheet out, posting it below the others w/ arrows pointing at it from every which direction, emblazoned "Who We Want To Be, the Care-Taker." Ha, ha...

"Be Like Reg?" Move over MJ, I think you've just been dethroned...ha, ha...

Back home in Sea-Town...

Sunday, June 15, 2003

Last night I headed out to Seaside, Oregon w/ some friends from our 143rd squadron. It was coo being there again, the first time being about this time 2 years ago, when I chilled down here w/ some Christian brothers from the UW. I even got a chance to catch a glance of the house we stayed at...bein' here definitely brings back a lot of positive memories. Speed scrabble, flyin' kites on the beach, one of the homies tearin' in up on the DDR machine at the arcade, push-up contests. Real fun time of bonding among the brothers...

Yesterday also had its lion's share of eye-opening fun. We first headed out to an Internet cafe to check out e-mail and such, as the other homies hung out outside drinking beer and talkin'. After that, we headed to the beach, and surprisingly we caught Emery w/ guitar slung on his back on the sidewalk. Emery's a coo guy that's about my age, one of the cooks of our squadron who on his spare time plays guitar at Pike Place market, socializing and pawning his CD. He's definitely got the MoJo running on high gear w/ the ladies. While we're talkin', he starts playing his guitar and...I kid you not...3 seconds later a group of about 10 to 12 HS age girls turn our way like a flock of freakin' geese in a formation and start dancing around us and gettin' all freaky n' fresh w/ us and Emery as the focal point. Definitely an "awe-inspiring" and amusing site to behold and be a part of. =] And it didn't end there [ha, ha]. We headed further up towards the beach and stopped to partake in a few shots at Shilo Inn. 30 minutes and drinks later, Emery has a fine gal dancin' w/ him! I still remained awe-struck and amused. Outside after the drinks, 2 dudes approached him, and homie Takamura joked "man, look at that, he's even got the males all up on his c**k." Couldn't help but crack up at TK's insight...

Emery's definitely a pimpin' guru, and I'm definitely appreciative of his demonstrative clinic in "Attracting Hotties 101"...ha, ha...

Off I go to Camp Rilea, Oregon...I'll be there doing Annual Field Training [AFT] until the 24th of this month, learning better how to install, maintain and modify satellite terminals...

Should be fun, it's right on the Oregon coast and I'll be bringing along my 21-speed Pacific bike, loading it up on one of the convoys like a buncha other people are doing. I saw some bats, gloves and a few basketballs while loading up a truck today, so it'll be fun to sling n' splash a few 3's and belt some HR's. =] It'll definitely be coo to ride to Seaside or Astoria on the weekends and chillax amidst the hotties in the Pacific breeze...

One thing I hope doesn't happen is the M's startin' to slump. When I left Sea-Town for BMT last August they were comfortably in first, and ended up in 3rd place. I got back May 1st this year and they were playin' around .500 ball, w/ Ichiro hitting .243. And since I've been back, in just a little over a month the M's are the best team in baseball [42-19 as of today] w/ Ichiro hitting almost .330, 90 pts. higher since I got back home. Thinkin' about it, it'd would be kinda amusing if the M's did start tanking after I left. If they did, I'd have to write in to the Seattle Times editorial and the M's organization. It'd be coo to be on their payroll, as the "official Mariner GL charm, the unexplained chi that fuels the M's fortunes"...ha, ha...

Nailed a $158 trifecta Friday at Emerald...

It's real coo how 15 minutes of analyzing the DR Form can turn $10 into $158 just like *that*... =]

Speaking of the horses, it's a shame Funny Cide couldn't pull out a win today at the Belmont for the Triple Crown. 17th horse to win the first two legs of the TC series, and bomb the third. Guess you could say he got "Cide-tracked"...ha, ha.

BTW, just re-did this BLOG's design. It's all bright now, opposed to the dark teal it had been for like 2 years...
