"CURSE IT GOODBYE!"

The Red Sox toppled the Cards 3-0 last night, capturing their 1st World Series title since 1918! 86 years! I'm feelin' inspired, and to symbolize it I think I'll be sporting my BoSox cap on the job today...

"One game..."

That's the only thing separating the Red Sox from nabbing their 1st World Series since 1918. Therefore, I say w/ conviction..."Let's Go Red Sox!" And at this point, I think it's only a question of whether or not the BoSox are going to pull out the vaunted broomstick against the Cardinals since it's highly improbable for lightning to strike for a 2nd consecutive time. But in the .00000000001% likeliness that it does, I'll have to say that a curse definitively exists. And he goes by the initials of "BR"...

I caught Friday Night Lights this past Sunday w/ friends, and this HS football flick definitely didn't disappoint. Very intense, and full of riveting, believable performances...

"The Perfect Storm"

Props to Sue, Lauren, Betty and the rest of the Storm for bein' instrumental in bringing Seattle its 1st pro championship in 25 years. Very fun to be a part of in person at a 116dB rockin' Key Arena. Hopefully the team will stay intact for '05 and make a spirited run at it again...

That's French for "very good" w/ the bonus alliterative play...who says I didn't learn anything in those 3 years of HS French? [hah!] Well, I played pick up b-ball at Blaine Methodist last night, and I felt rejuvenated. I'm thinking it's because a lot of the U-Dub IMA "ballers" I knew fr. 2000-2002 were there and basically harmonized a line of "Reg, what's up...been a long time bro!" since I hadn't seen a lot of 'em in a while. The team I was on won 2 straight, the last 1 by the score of 21-20. In that game I scored 11 of our points to go w/ a handful of assists, goin' 6-7 fr. the field and a Ray Allen-esque 5-5 fr. 3-point range. As much as I'm an anti-fan of Britney's pop drivel, I have to concede that I was "in the zone"...

"The IRSalian Job"...

Orientation's over, and so far it's kind of interesting to experience first-hand the similarities between workin' for the Gov't. and the military. Just like w/ the Air Force, I also took an Oath to enter Gov't. duty. Other notable similarities include the seemingly endless deluge of forms at entry, and both seem to have a "handy" acronym for everything. But really, I don't mind much. To me, they're actually mildly comforting...weird, eh?

But for now, it's time to enjoy a 4-day wknd.! Straight chillin'...

"HITS-tory!"

Ichiro got 3 hits tonight, shattering an 84 yr. old MLB record! I definitely feel privileged to have personally been a part of MLB history as it got re-written live at the Safe tonight...

Bush or Kerry in '04? Nay! Ichiro for president!...
