Karaoke bug...

[did this cut at the ML on Sat. night after an extended hiatus fr. the "artform". =p felt good gettin' the audience rockin' again...]

why would i chase your shadow all my life
and be afraid of my own?
i’d rather be with you
i’d rather not know
where i’ll be than
be alone and convinced that i know

when the world keeps spinning 'round
my world’s upside down
you and i wouldn’t change a thing
i’ve got nothing else to lose
i lost it all when i found you
and i wouldn’t change a thing
no, you and i wouldn’t change a thing

everything i know has let me down
so i will just let go
let you turn me inside out
'cause i know i’m not sure
about anything
but you wouldn’t have it any other way

when the world keeps spinning 'round
my world’s upside down
you and i wouldn’t change a thing
i’ve got nothing else to lose
i lost it all when i found you
and i wouldn’t change a thing
no, you and i wouldn’t change a thing

spinning, turning, watching, burning
all my life has found it’s meaning
walking, crawling, climbing, falling
all my life has found it’s meaning
you and i wouldn’t change a thing
no, you and i wouldn’t change a thing

when the world keeps spinning 'round
my world’s upside down
you and i wouldn’t change a thing
i’ve got nothing else to lose
i lost it all when i found you
and i wouldn’t change a thing
no, you and i wouldn’t change a thing

no, you and i wouldn’t change a thing...

When it's over...

Put in a quality effort in the SF's, but alas, my tourney run is finito...

All in all, I'd have to say that I'm content w/ my last 4 tourneys, reaching the QF's, the 4.0 SF's, and capturing 2 [!] titles...

[Yahoo! F.B.]

It's been an extensively trying journey, but it's official..."Cinderella Squad" is playoff bound! No fluke... =p

"...on to the SF's!"

Pulled out the W in my 4.0 quarterfinal match today. Very hard fought 3 set battle that really had me digging deep into my reserves of energy and focus. In the 1st set, I was actually down 5-2 as my opponent had his way w/ some nasty sidespin on his 2nd serves, which he'd mix in w/ ferocious pace on his 1st serve that would regularly hit the corners of the service box. On top of that, he would come in behind those serves and put away easy volleys. At that point, I conciously decided to rip some pinpoint and pace feriocious passing shots, and it worked as it kept him honest, as he could no longer practically straddle the net behind his serve. I mixed in some timely drop shots and topspin lobs into the equation, and I ended up roaring back to take that 1st set by the score of 7-5. The 2nd set was pretty close as well, going to a tiebreak. I was up 4-2 in that breaker, and I got outscored 6-2 to lose it 8-6 and thus the set by the score of 6-7. In the 3rd set, he raced to a 3-1 lead, and it was at that point that I suppose I subconsciously shifted it into high gear, winning the next 5 games and thus the set and the match. Vamos! [ha, ha]

W/out a doubt, I'm especially stoked about this win since I had to really muster up every ounce of my focus that I could at critical occasions during the match. Final tally was 7-5, 6-7 [6], 6-3. On to the SF's!...
