2 straight 1-point L's for the Supes, equal parts encouraging and exasperating...

The Sonics are a young, inexperienced team playin' to their strength...runnin' the open floor hittin' jump shots. It's either a 3 point shot or a layup for this team, and when that happens, you'll get abused inside. That's why they've been thriving against teams w/out a dominant inside physical presence [i.e. Bucks], and gettin' raped by squads strong on the interior [i.e. Nets]. The sad truth about this Supes squad is that on any given night they can look like world beaters, or on the Flip side, plain' ol' whipped like "Egg Beaters."

Since we're on the pathetic b-ball subject...

Got back from Horizon training today, fun experience that felt like a vacation. Even though the pay ain't too hot [$10 per hr.], one cool perk about the job is that I get to fly unlimited on Horizon and Alaska Air, as long as there's space available. Guess the 1st place I'm goin'...Vegas, baby! Not for gambling, of course...just 'cause my deprived self hasn't been there yet to experience the city in all it's round-the-clock, neon glory. It's also coo 'cause I get to fly on other airlines at madly discounted rates. 1st international countries on my list are Japan and Australia. I'm thinkin' if I had a GF right now, she'd be spoiled silly...

Craziness...

As I waited to turn left off of Orcas this morning, I observed in unrequited shock as an elder Asian man got hit by an SUV. He crumpled onto the street, and I feared that he got badly injured. Fortunately he was able to stand up moments later, and on the surface he looked OK. He'll definitely be feelin' the effects later, but that's a small price to pay if you consider the alternative...

Today I got hired as a ramp agent for Horizon Air. I'm excited 'cause 40+ people showed up for the interview, but they ended up selecting 4 of 'em, 1 of 'em of course bein' me. I haven't felt this special since...last month [Puget Sound Tennis Tour championship]. =p

I also picked up a brand spankin' new fridge for my equally brand spankin' new residence. It's a "mini-me" style fridge, but despite the diminutive exterior it's real spacious on the interior. It's fully stocked now w/ all kinds of goodies from Safeway. Since tonight's grocery shopping excursion represents a milestone [i.e. rite of passage] in my life, and also 'cause I'm a certifiable nut, I'm gonna list the spoils I picked up. Here goes...

1. Raisin Bran 2. 1% milk 3. bananas 4. peanut butter 5. bread [wheat] 6. jam [strawberry] 7. celery 8. carrots 9. 3 kiwis 10. salami 11. tuna 12. Pringles [plain] 13. paper cups, bowls, napkins, utensils 14. 12 pk. of Dasani 15. 3 yogurts [2 blueberry] 16. tuna [Bumble Bee 3pk], tuna salad / crackers 17. Ruby Red grapefruit juice 18. egg nog [light] 19. Jell-O pudding [swirled chocolate] 20. Starbucks mocha frappucino...all for $40 and change!

This stuff is good....but it begs the question. What's nog? I'm thinkin' it's related to the concept of mixture...

After the *exhaustive* shopping, I got in a quality 30 min. cardio and 90 min. lifting session in at 24 Fitness. My old Sea-Tac homie Kosol was there, and we caught up for about half an hour. He'd just came back from his homeland Cambodia, where he spent 4 months. I joked w/ him about his gut, that he must've gotten fed *real* well back in the mother land, and he told me that I looked a lot more leaner and "cut." We also talked about our jobs, right now he's a workin' security in Downtown Seattle for $11.50 an hour, and he encouraged me to apply since they're hiring vigorously at the moment. I'll probably scope it out later this week, perhaps tomorrow...

It's coo to catch up w/ the homies. If you're one, drop a line [comment box, e-mail, # if ya ask] anytime, I'd love to hear from you...
