"When it's over..."

Put in a good 3-set fight in the SF's, but the run's finally ended. Even though it would've been crackin' to get to the Finals and pick up a trophy, I'm content 'cause I feel that my on-court skills got sharpened considerably. All in all, it definitely turned out to be a fun tournament to play in. Until next time...

"...Semi-Finals!"

Got another W tonight...6-2, 7-5! In the 2nd set I actually led 4-2, and then Eric [my opponent] reeled off three straight games, taking the lead at 5-4. At that point, I told myself "OK, time to bring it up a notch," and I ended up taking the next 3 to end it at 7-5. Very happy that I didn't listen to the worst part of me, a part that would've just folded the set...

Hopefully I won't have to default my SF match slated for this Wed. at 5pm. If it ultimately turns out that I do have to default, I'm still content in the fact that God is good, a truth that got reinforced over the Christmas '04 wknd. I'm very thankful for all He's provided, mainly in the form of family, friends, and forgiveness...

"On to the Quarter-Finals!"

Happy holidays! Pulled out another victory tonight...6-1 6-2! It's on to the Quarters on Sunday at 3pm...

Now if I could only finish up my shopping...wait, I haven't even started! =p Being the chronic procrastinator that I am, I'm thinkin' it'll all get done on Friday aka Christmas Eve...

Won my 1st round Boeing Holiday Tennis Tourney match today...6-1, 6-4! The guy I played, Collin, mentioned that he's on the Kentridge HS varsity team, a team that won the SPSL district championship this year. He told me this before the match, and I immediately thought to myself "OK, time to bring out the poppin' A game." I did just that in the 1st set, and I felt content. Started the 2nd set shaky, diggin' a hole of 1-3, and at that point I got internally disgruntled w/ myself for my lazy play. I ended up wakin' up fr. my impromptu daydreaming, rallying to win it 6-4...on to the 2nd round!

"Super Saturday"...

1st day off in 12 days, and...I'm filled w/ relief. Theme of the day / wknd. : "fun / relax..."

9-10:30AM: lifting at 24 hr. Fitness...

12-2PM: Ocean's Twelve...

2:30-5PM: 5-on-5 b-ball w/ my PINOY brothers at St. Peter's...

7-9:30PM: Can the SUPERSONICS extend their '04 brilliance to 18-3 against Payton's Celtics? After prematurely cuttin' out of the Key before Seattle's triumph over Memphis, this time I'm definitely staying for the 48+ minutes...

Pulled out a W on Sunday...6-2, 6-1! Played on "center court" and entertained the audience...

[*14-3!]

After that thrilling 129-119 OT victory against the Jazz last night, I'm 99.5% convinced that the '04-'05 Seattle SuperSonics aren't a fluke. They're a well-oiled squad that's got the potential to make a big time splash [pun intended!] in the play-offs. Their team chemistry is impeccable, and in today's NBA that's currently all about the individual stars, that counts for a lot. You don't need to look any further than last year's NBA champ the Pistons and this year's Olympics to see how much the team concept translates into a winning brand
of basketball...
