3 attractive job opportunities are currently serenading Ichiro's spiritual brother aka "me." [heh] Each of 'em appeal to the mind [interesting], body [decent salary], and heart [passion]. Which path should I go?

We'll see how things pan out, but one thing is for sure. I'm certainly thankful for the blessings...

Good to see...

[*definitely super]

Even though it just might be a classic case of "too little too late," it's good to see the Sonics throttle the Nuggets to nab their 7th straight win. Can the good guys parlay that into 8 straight against the team formerly known as the Jail-Blazers tonight? We'll see...

[ *AI 2004 ]

It's good to see my 2 Filipina darlings from Hawaii still in the competition...

It's interesting to note that the 2 contestants in the final 12 that had Seattle connections were the 1st to go...

[*E-D-G-A-R...]

At the ripe ol' age of 41, it's good to see Mr. Mariner himself still rakin' the Seattle baseball yard. M's opener April 6th!

[*organized hoopin'!]

It'll be good to see if I can unconsciously light up the net from 3 pt. range during the upcoming EBA b-ball season. If the pick-up games yesterday at Delridge are any indication, I'm ready to splash some raindrops fr. 3-ball land, and dish out some serious change aka dimes. 1st contest tomorrow at 1:55pm sharp...

"Pro-duction, duction...what's my function?"

Some days are just unusually busier than others. Yesterday qualifies as one of those days...

10:00am-- Rise and shine! Took a shower, and handled the ritual 'Net business...

11:30am-- Attended the Safeco Field job fair, and schmoozed w/ a multitude of job reps. Generated a lot of cool leads...

1:30pm-- After the Safeco treasure hunting, I shuttled over on the Metro to pick up official transcripts from Schmitz Hall. I felt nostalgic so I decided to hit up Than Brothers, a Pho joint on the Ave. that I hadn't been to since graduating from the UW almost 2 years [!] ago. As I walked up, I unexpectedly ran into G-Sak and Mel Ok. I ended up derailing their plans of eating PC steaks, and they decided to join in on the pho...[n]. =p We talked for about an hour, and turns out that G-Sak is leaving next week to go to Japan for missions, and when he gets back in the States he has a plush engineering job waiting for him at Microsoft in July. Homie is definitely blessed...

It's weird, this is the third time I've randomly ran into this guy in the past month or so. The 1st time was at the ASC talent show, 2nd time at a Christian gathering at the UW, and 3rd here on the Ave. It's a tiny world we live in nowadays...

3:30pm-- Took the bus back home, along w/ a lengthy nap which continued at the house for half an hour. I then headed out to 24 Fitness to use the elliptical and lift for a couple hours. About an hour and a half into the session, I decided to pick up the ritual "Honey Peanut" protein bar, and one of the trainers smiled and invited me to have a couple complimentary quesadillas. I took the cutie, er...her up on the offer, and scarfed 1 up. As I motioned the savory treat to my mouth, some of the contents spilled on the floor. Turns out a male trainer had been passing by behind me, and started getting "smuggily snippy" at yours truly. I wasn't sure if he was doing so in jest, so I dutily took some paper napkins and handled the spill. As I got back, I shot back this verbal offering to gauge whether he had been joking or not...

"Damn, the food hadn't even hit the floor, and you're already all up on my a**!"

3 or 4 people around us started crackin' up, and as I intently studied the trainer's face he just shot back w/ a smug smile and a nod. Turns out he had been serious. Ouch for him...

Finished up the remainder of my lifting, and headed home feelin' strong and pumped...

8pm-- Caught American Idol, w/ the 12 finalists competing exclusively against each other for the first time. Impressive "soul" performances awaited me, especially Jasmine Trias, who belted out a beautiful and soulful rendition of "Inseparable." As for Camile Velasco, I personally thought she did a good rendition of "Son of a Preacher Man", but it's too bad the judges didn't think she sang to her potential. She has a beautiful tone that's soothingly soulful and smoky, exuding a sultry hip-hop vibe reminiscent of Lauryn Hill...

9:30pm-- Strolled over to neighboring CBC [church] to do "top flight security" for homie Stone who recruited me 'cause of a dinner he had to attend. The security consisted of walking the ladies to their cars, since from what I hear from homie Dennis, the parking lot is a car-jacking haven. Got introduced a lot of people there, and even got assaulted w/ all kinds of snacks [cake, nachos, biscotti, etc]. I wasn't really feeling that hungry, but I obliged the offers since I didn't want to offend their gratitude. It seems like one of those rare places where cozy people come a dime-a-dozen...

Yup, thinkin' about it, if I could compare it to doughnuts, it'd be a Krispy Kreme. Minus the copious amounts of sugar and Crisco... =p

11:30pm-- Tulog aka sleep...

"Being intimidated has this way of making me feel...icky."

Caught the opening of Johnny Depp's horror / comedy flick "Secret Window" today. Yup, that's no typo...comedic. It's based on a Stephen King novel, so you'd think it'd be pure horror, and at the core that's what it represented. But just like in Pirates of the Caribbean, Depp's on-screen charisma steals the show, and adds a refreshing brand of levity to the proceedings. Depp definitely certifies his acting genius here, and it's his performance that binds this flick together. He has a knack for keeping the audience on its toes, and in the horror genre that's what its all about. Good horror flicks generate a sense of genuine claustrophobia and paranoia, and leave it up to Depp to provide these sensations to the fullest w/ the subtle icing of levity to top it off...

You're my hero, Johnny! Props to your cinematic virtuosity homie...

[*random act of fun-ny?]

Went on a shopping excursion today at Express, and as the clerk rang up my spoils, he accidentally locked up the till and thus my change which amounted to 2 cents. He finally got it open after calling his manager, and at that point I was ready to concede the change, but instead I offered up this on-the-fly remark in jest...

"Yeah, you'd better hand over my 2 cents, 'cause you don't want to get MY 2 cents."

The clerk and the manager started to crack up. Chalk another one up for corni-ness! Enter segway...

[*fun factoid]

What does this BLOG entry and Depp's "Secret Window" share in common? [WARNING: mild spoiler forthcoming!]

"Surprise party!"

The U-Dub Husky men's b-ball team upset the formerly 26-0 undefeated #1 team in the nation the Stanford Cardinal, 75-62 on Saturday. Go Dawgs! If this doesn't get the team an invite to the big Tourney, it'll be a shame. But if they do, they're prepared to make a serious NW splash along w/ those other [bull] Dogs of perennial powerhouse Gonzaga...

Speakin' of Sea-T splashes...

[*local hip-hop reppin' in London, UK!]

Props to homie Glen's Massive Monkees hip-hop breakin' squad, the freshly knighted and undisputed
2004 B-Boy champions of the Earth...

Sponge-brain, blue pants...

Yup, that's what I'll be today up until Friday, absorbing all of the dendrite, neuron nourishing nutrients in those Air Guard Satellite CDC's. This Saturday, exchange the "blue" for AF fatigues. Heh, doesn't quite have the same ring to it...

[*philippine idol?]

Jasmine Trias! After her incredible performance last night, it looks like there's gonna be 2 gifted Filipinas in the final 12. PI represent! Only thing missing is a Pinoy w/ the vocal chops, counterbalancing the PI yin w/ the yang. Fr. Sea-Town perhaps in '05? =p

get paid millions."

#1 stunner!...

Right now I'm currently #1 in the standings in 3 of 4 Yahoo! Fantasy basketball leagues I'm in. If you're not too familiar w/ fantasy sports, or been just residing under a rock for the good part of the millennium, it's a feat that borders on bein' a gaudy achievement. In this league, I'm competing w/ a bunch of real-life homies, and for the 1st time this season my team "NASHTY" [formerly known as the "Yao-kuza"] sits comfortably on the perch of the #1 slot. A few of my players have been banged up as of late, so I'll just bask in the #1 sunshine while it's here, since rain might be in the forecast... [pun intended!]

[*passion of the C]

If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first...

This is the type of movie that one doesn't go to enjoy. Instead it's one that's experienced, that's felt. I'm a type that notoriously resents any attempts by media to elicit certain emotions, but this time I had no such resentment. No, I didn't shed any tears as many in the audience did, but I did vicariously feel the realities of the pain of my Lord's persecution...

One notable quirk is found in Jim Caviezel who depicted Jesus. Just like the Lord at his time of human affliction, Jim's initials are JC and age 33 at the time of filming the Passion. Another notable quirk is that he [Caviezel] also attended Sea-Town's Kennedy HS for a time...

[*on today's agenda]

Oil change for my ride today...

Procras...er, diligently preparing for Air Guard Satellite technician CDC test that's happening this Sunday at 9am...

Catching the Idol special Uncut, Uncensored, and Untalented tonight at 8pm. Special appearance by the legend himself, Mr. WH! He bangs, he bangs...ha, ha...
