"I think I can beat A. Roddick..."

This past weekend was great. I started it off 12pm Saturday by playing in a tennis tourney up in Mill Creek, sponsored by Dunlop. I won my 1st 2 matches enroute to the Finals...

Put up a good Rocky-esque fight in the Finals, but ended up on the short end. My opponent Yassine took the Final w/ his killer shot arsenal. He's probably the toughest competition I've faced this year. Not surprised, since he played college tennis in the Midwest. Even though I lost, I'm still thrilled since my PS Tour rank shot up to #21 by reachin' the Final. Knock, knock, knockin' on Top 8's door...

After the tennis, I broke out of the US, hangin' out in Vancouver, CA w/ friends. Spent the remainder of the weekend there. Had a blast. My belly was definitely happy on Sunday w/ Dim Sum at "Royal Seafood" for lunch, and hot-pot / sushi / BBQ for dinner at "Shabusen." Both joints were packed...

"The color of blue..."

It's another beautiful day in the Seattle 'hood. Yeah, it's cloudy, but that's beauty. Especially after 3 days of 86-90F scorchers. Couple that with my current disillusionment w/ this evil capitalist society, the grey clouds are beautiful 'cause they sympathize w/ my plight. This "world" is a crooked place, rife w/ cold souls that'll back-stab you the 2nd you turn around. But I refuse to hate you. I refuse to be like you in all your condescending, smug, self-righteous "splendor." But I will do everything in my God-granted power to see to it that you do not further contaminate my life. You are a cancer that shall be fully eradicated.

[*8-bit nostalgia]

Mega Man Anniversary Collection will be released today on the GC and the PS2. I've been anticipating this for a while, and I'm giddy 'cause I'll be one of the 1st in line to pick up Capcom's "love letter" to ol' school MM fanatics. Unless you've got a crazy aversion to fire hydrant-esque metallic blue guys that come equipped w/ Gatling guns for their right forearms, and / or consider "nostalgic" a filthy term, you've got to pick 1 up.

[*Mr. Del "Taco?"]

Dude, I think I just described the Blue Jays' Carlos Delgado. Just too bad he's on the DL w/ a batting average [.220] that doesn't even carry his own weight in lbs. [230]. Looks like "Del-got-it" did get it...supersized. Packin' a lot of "ponch." =p OK, I'm done senselessly rippin' you Carlos. Just produce to your Fantasy billing, and you'll be coo again. Spark up that BA and you'll get them HR's...

"Oh, tainted Glove..."

It was encouraging to see the underdog Pistons prevail in the Finals, especially when the "dog" triumphs over a SoCal NBA juggernaut once perceived as invincible. It's just too bad that "the Mailman" got his delivery postmarked "return to sender" and "the Glove" just got plain ol' tainted. =p

"Bird-stoned?"

It's too bad Smarty couldn't nail the "Crown." Well, despite his 2nd place finish in the Belmont, it doesn't diminish the fact he's still outstanding...

[*baseball exploits]

Along w/ church, my Sundays are now officially dedicated to playin' baseball w/ the homies. I played my 1st contest of the year this past Sunday, and I went 3-4, hittin' a pair of 2Bers and a single which led to 3 RBI's and 3 runs. The 2nd double I hit rocketed off my bat and nearly cleared the 289ft. emblazoned right-field fence! Just 10-15 ft. separated it fr. being a "4-bagger." Despite the offensive barrage, our squad got the short end...

Can't wait for the next opportunity to potentially go "yard"... =p
