Scored a respectable 87% on the block 6.1 test, and I'll be starting block # 7 on Mar. 12th. But first, gotta knock out 6.2...

The last three blocks are held at another facility, Vincent Hall. We're at a place called Allen Hall right now, and it'll definitely be coo to bounce from this drab, Ft. Gordon ghetto fab conglomeration of bricks and rock. In the meantime I flo, slave to the tick-tock of the slo-mo clock...ha, ha...

Here's an outline of the course, which provides a quick description of each block. It also has graduation dates listed there, w/ mine being on the 1st of May. It's definitely gonna be coo to be able to be back home right before my birthday [on the 6th], and in time to see my boy Ichiro and the rest of the Mariner squad tearing up the AL circuit...

BTW, for anyone out there I'm personally acquainted with, feel free to drop a line snail-mail style...Sea-Town represent!

GP a Buck? It's hard to imagine "The Glove" no longer a Sonic, but I guess it's a curse that Emerald city sports fans are under, with the departures of A-Rod [aka "Pay-Rod"] and the like. Is it the weather? If it keeps at this pace, Ichiro's set to follow suit in a couple seasons when his contract's up...

The Sonics picked up Ray Allen, who's a great player in his own right w/ his sniper-esque perimeter shooting prowess, but not nearly the defensive stopper and as good an all-around player as GP. Yeah, Supes GM Rick Sund who pulled the trigger on the deal argues that Allen's 27 entering the prime of his career and Payton's 34 and entering a decline, but who's to say that Payton isn't one of those special players on par w/ Jordan who could play productively into his 40's? To add insult to injury, Desmond Mason got packaged in the deal, a dunking phenom w/ a decent jump shot and so much upside to his game. It really sucks, and what makes this deal suck harder is that they got a couple of garbage players in addition to Allen not even worth mention on this BLOG, and also that they're now without a viable option at point 'cause they traded back-up Anderson...

It's clear that the Bucks made this move for the short term, and the Sonics w/ the long term in mind. We'll definitely see how this deal transpires, but I think that it's a good assumption that the Supes are gonna be mired in mediocrity for seasons to come...

Dodging bullets...

Passed the block # 5 test today...bring it on block # 6! # 6 is the longest [and supposedly the toughest] out of the nine blocks, at about a month long. We'll be working on the actual TRK-170's, so it'll be coo to finally work w/ the equipment hands-on instead of relying on diagrams and descriptions and the like...

On a random note, this morning an Airman of the opposite gender jokingly asked me if I'd marry her. I told her that I "probably couldn't afford her," and she cracked up. I think she's attractive, so I didn't want to come across all flattered...

It's also funny 'cause last month a different Airman of the feminine persuasion popped the same question, except I replied along the lines of "I'm WAY too young, I'd like to enjoy bein' a 20's bachelor before even thinkin' about that..." She smiled and concurred...

Bein' married...right now I definitely can't picture myself bein' hitched. I guess my rationale for that is that I have a hard enough time takin' care of my soon to be 24-year old self. At times, I still feel like a little boy who can't fend for himself, shutting out the entire freakin' world out of an irrational fear of bein' devoured. Plus, this'll sound kinda weird too I'm sure, but I've got this picture I've painted in my head of the perfect gal. Her name's Gabrielle, and she's literally the gal of my dreams...

Scored a 98% on the block #4 test today...

Normally I'd be ecstatic with such a score, but instead I felt disappointed. Looks like the Air Force has successfully instilled in me a perfectionist's mentality. I guess that can be either a good or bad thing, depending on how it's looked at. I got some consolation in the form of an "academic achievement" certificate which I received directy from the Master Sergeant in charge of the course, so that kinda offset the disappointment...

Also, during lunch today at the Army Dining Facility #4 [DFAC #4] I had the chance to chat w/ the Major of the 338 AF squadron here on Fort Gordon. For some reason, I've always had the impression that military officers all come across as stuck-up, anal retentive micro managing bastards, but this one seemed amiable and laid back. Or I could be absolutely wrong, since judging from what I've experienced thus far in the Air Force, perception counts for a lot...

2.1~~Caught Jackie Chan's "Shanghai Knights" at the on-base theater. Hilarious flick, vintage Jackie. Some scenes were definitely so preposterous that they were laughable in their absurdity, but it's all good. Definitely a rebound from the "Tuxedo," Jackie's last movie which didn't really click for me...minus that *fine* specimen of a hottie Ms. Hewitt of course...ha, ha...

Also dined at the famed "Macaroni Grill" for the first time...delectable Italian food, on point...
