Last night my plan was to hit up the Bellevue 24 Fitness, and then head over to my fave karaoke joint, the "Leaf." Those plans came achingly close to being "derailed" as i drove down I-90 E. Spent 45 minutes on the shoulder of the freeway w/ the hazards on in the rainy cloak of darkness, since a ladder longer than the length of my car got stuck underneath my ride. Since I don't have a cellie, I waved at traffic for about 15 mins. like a change bummin' transient, and a few cars honked their horns. From that I figured that one of 'em must have at least called the cops, and before I knew it I was bein' helped by the most gorgeous gal officer I'd ever had the pleasure of speaking to and being helped by. We joked around 'bout the situation a bit, and w/ the help of her jack, we got the ladder dislodged. I waved goodbye, and I was once again on my merry way to the Bellevue 24 where I filed my claim and proceeded to run 2 miles and lift hard for like an hr. and a half. Nothing like a post near-death experience workout to calm the nerves fr. kickin' those endorphins into gear. [haha] I then headed over to the "Leaf," meeting up w/ some friends and gettin' the crowd all singin' along and rockin' w/ my rendition of the following cut by Weezer. Real fun song to do in front of semi-random ppl if ya ever get the chance and / or cajones to do it. =p
