Scored a 93% on block 9, which means...

"I'm goin' back to Sea-Town, back to Sea-Town..." [think LL Cool J's "Goin' back to Cali"]

Holla!...

ION:

Batted 5 for 5 [3 singles, 2 doubles] during the soft-ball scrimmage this past Sunday. If I do the math right, that comes out to a 1.000 BA..."Holla 2x!"

On to block 9! Time to bring in closer Kazuhiro Sasaki and close out this deal...

Did outprocessing yesterday, pickin' up a one-way ticket to Sea-Town for May 1st, set for 5:48PM out of Augusta w/ an Atlanta connection, and a Sea-Tac landing at 9:40PM...

Picked up World Series Baseball 2K3 for the PS2 after the on-base outprocessing adventure, and it's arguably the best armchair baseball title out there out of the glut that's currently on the VG market. Stayed up until 4am playin' this gem...

He said it...

"No. I just watch BET."

~RF Ichiro Suzuki, in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, when asked if he watched "American Idol." [hahaha...]

Personally, I'm pullin' for Ruben Studdard to place 1st, brutha can sang...

[This aired on Letterman right after Mike Weir won the 2003 Masters Golf Tournament this past Sunday. Freakin' hilarious... =]

Top Ten Messages Left on Mike Weir's Answering Machine

10. "Congratulations and, oh yeah, who the hell are you?"

9. "This is the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame. Want to be our first member?"

8. "It's Tiger Woods. Finishing fifteenth would feel much worse if it weren't for my 62-million dollars in endorsements."

7. "Dude, I was so drunk when I was watching the Masters, I actually thought you won."

6. "It's Tiger again. Seriously, give me the damn jacket."

5. "This is President Bush. Today you made all of us proud to be Canadian."

4. "Crap, must've misdialed. I was trying to reach Jose Maria Olazabal."

3. "Hootie Johnson here. Victory dinner is on me -- but don't bring your wife."

2. "I see you've used some of your prize money to buy an answering machine."

1. "You seem to be good at sports -- can you play for the Mets?"

Hitting shoes...

Played softball yesterday w/ some fellas from the AF Detachment and hit 3-5, hitting a single, a triple and a...solo HR! Also played solid defense in LF and catcher, w/ people remarking about how strong an arm I got, comparing me to freakin' Benito Santiago of the SF Giants. =] Felt real nice hittin' that HR, brought back memories of the GW 3-run shot I hit last summer for our UW squad that capped off a nine-run comeback. It's too bad that our team yesterday got absolutely *spanked* by the NFL-esque score of 29-12. Ouch is right. =/

Augusta, GA 7-day meteorological outlook: mid-70's w/ nothin' but Sun...

Pollen, I abhor you!...

Couldn't help but crack up yesterday when a fellow airman and I were watching a replay of Saddam's statue being toppled, and he likened the statue to to the one of "Rocky" in Philadelphia. I responded, "Yeah, looks like Rocky's finally been KO'd," and we both started chucklin'... =]

ION, just checked out my checkin' account online and found out I just got jacked $13.00 in ATM "fees" by the local Wachovia bank here in Augusta for makin' a balance transfer and inquiry, on top of a $2.00 surcharge on every withdrawal. It's straight up highway robbery, but it's coo to know that I'll only have another 3 weeks or so to put up w/ it, after which I'll go back to the "free"dom of WaMu...

Go Supes and M's!!!... Real coincidental how both teams have .500 records as of today, and it's also a quirky reflection of me trying to stay "even keel" here on Fort Gordon, just maintaining until that long awaited day of liberation fr. Air Force TDY status..."May 1st, hoo-rah!"...

On to block 8.2!...

Lookin' forward to "karaoke-ing" this gem when I get back to Sea-Town...

I'll Be ~ Edwin McCain

The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful
Stop me and steal my breath
Emeralds from mountains thrust towards the sky
Never revealing their depth...

Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated, I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above...

I'll be your cryin' shoulder
I'll be love suicide
I'll be better when I'm older
I'll be the greatest fan of your life...

Rain falls angry on the tin roof
As we lie awake in my bed
You're my survival, you're my living proof
My love is alive and not dead...

Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated, I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above...

I've dropped out, burned up, fought my way back from the dead
Tuned in, turned on, remembered the thing you said...

I'll be your cryin' shoulder
I'll be love suicide
I'll be better when I'm older
I'll be the greatest fan of your life...
