"Thanksgiving"...

If I could sum it up in 4 words it'd be "good food, good company." I'm real thankful for that...

Thank you Lord for surrounding me w/ great friends and a loving family, thank you for all your blessings, even though at times it seems like they aren't immediately recognizable. Thank you for being good, thank you for watching over Your people of faith as we strive for You in this proving ground dominated by the bottom line. Thank you for picking me up after I stumble. Thank you for your mercy...

The term "SUCK" personifies exactly what the Sonics were doin' in the 3rd and 4th quarter against the Nets. 25 points TOTAL??!! The Supes definitely got a FAT one stuck in 'em last night...

Got the Honda back on Saturday, w/ a brand spankin' new ignition. Runnin' and lookin' more beautiful than ever. =p I'm relieved to have other practical uses to a flat-head than starting up my car...

Such as...puttin' up some blinds in my new crib! Gonna stop by IKEA today and pick 'em up, along w/ some other items like a television stand, halogen lamp, comp. chair, etc. I'll be fully moved in to the house right sometime late Dec. / early Jan. What's coo is that it's right next to the CBC [church], but what's lame is that I won't be able to attend their 3rd service for a long time since all my Saturdays and Sundays are taken up indefinitely...

[*stream of consciousness]

Spat this out during a break fr. the workin' grind, so I'm callin' this one "midday 9-5 scribble"... =p

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

Wait, that means I won't be able to pick up my Honda today...

Let it melt, let it melt, let it melt...

"Trans-blogger, more than meets the eye"...

Did some re-touching of this BLOG...can you spot all the changes? Probably the most notable one is the addition of the comment function. I deliberated the pro's and con's of this function, and decided that the con's were outweighed by the pro's. The main thing that concerns me about having this function is that despised four-letter word SPAM, my philosophy is that it only belongs in a can, in sushi, or pan-fried accompanied w/ a scoop of rice. If it's in any other form, you're wrong, son! But if it ain't those taboo four letters, feel free to drop a line as often as the urge strikes. Silence at times speaks louder that what's audible...hence the "tranquil oceanic pearl" that soothes the writhing soul that's being ignored. I ain't afraid to admit that I'm a bonafide attention wh0re.

There's also 1 other change I've decided to make, but you'll only be able to see it in the long run. I glanced over the last couple months worth of posting, and I noticed an interesting trend. Nothing disturbing, but just that I'd been posting a lot on a particular topic. That topic, as far as the previous frequency of it being in these entries goes, is game, set, match as of today. =p Reflecting back, I guess it's not as much this one-track mindedness that suffocated the variety, I think I'd attribute it much more to a sub-conscious refusal on my part to talk about certain things here. At times it just easier to keep things positive, or neutral at best, conveniently neglecting to recognize the not-so positive. From now on, I'm talking straight up, and if you don't like it, well...tough t**** said the kitty. Ha, ha...haven't heard that since the old job at Sea-Tac...

I hope that my Honda will be ready for pick-up. It's only been 3 days since I've driven it, but it feels like a much longer duration that's elapsed. A prime example of Einstein's time is relative theory...

I'm also wakin' up at a military-esque 0530 to participate in 2 Yahoo! fantasy basketball live drafts, and I hope they're gonna be as bountiful as the "Yao-kuza" and "Flip-Mode" drafts...

One of the customers I helped out yesterday in renting a Pacifica had his son right there at his side. Nothing really unusual, but the son did have a "USAF" jacket on so I figured that his pop used to be in the Air Force. I thought to myself "coo, a fellow Airman/NCO/CO." What really got my attention was when the 6 to 7 yr. old kid, unprompted, looked up and said "I love you, dad." He then promptly fixed his gaze ahead, with a look of utmost security and confidence. Real touching thing to behold...

Played the PS tour final tonight...

Your new, undisputed 2003 PS Tour tennis champ?... *anticipatory drum roll please*

It's...Reg! Won the final tonight 6-2, 6-2 at the Seattle Tennis Center. I didn't really feel like I had the strokes goin' during the short warm-up session before the match, but I found them real quick during the match, particularly on the backhand side. I rendered it a point to dictate play w/ this strength of my arsenal, and ended up hitting myriad blistering winners from that side. I also had 4-5 aces, so I had the serve goin' tonight too, forcing a lot of errors on his return game. I'm surprised I played as well as I did during the match, since I hadn't hit the courts since I won the 2003 CSTA championship. Funny thing is even though I felt like I played well, I know I've got the potential to perform so much better.. It's kind of a shame that I have to sacrifice that improvement in the meantime, since I currently have a jobby-job that takes up 50+ hours per week. I really itch to play in a USTA league right now since people have been trying to recruit me, along w/ a big tournament in December...but I'm torn between this itch and the itch to continue the positive $crilla flow. I'll just have to put it off the first itch 'til April 2004 or so...

In any case, it's cool to no longer be the "one-hit wonder." I guess now I could be considered the "2-hit up-and-comer"...ha, ha...

The PS Tour final match is set for 6:15pm this Friday. It's coo that I've got Wed. and Thurs. off to prep for it...

Good news: Generated 9 sales leads today at the International Auto Show, all potential buyers in the immediate future [2 wk. frame]...

Neither good nor bad news: The PS Tour tennis final I'm in is postponed to next week...

Not-so good news: Car got broken into tonight. The bastards rummaged through my glove compartment, jacked my Aiwa CD deck, and forced out the ignition assembly. I guess you could call 'em considerate bastards since they left my title and insurance papers there, along w/ my tennis rackets in the trunk. The tow truck I called for eventually came, and the nice ol' driver showed me a nifty trick to get the car started w/ a screwdriver. He told me it'll cost about $100 to repair the ignition, which all in all isn't too bad...definitely a far cry from the potential thousands of $$$ I would've had to cough up if they straight up jacked the car and took it apart or totalled it. After our conversation on car-jacking, the CLUB is now a dear friend to my ride...

To add to all of this, as soon as I got home I found out from the mom that my brother is getting deployed to Iraq in January 2004...for two years. Right now I'm tempted to spit some choice verbage on George Dubya's behalf, but I won't since his glaring stupidity and arrogance speaks for itself...

Busy, busy, busy...slavin' 55 hours per week to the machine is sick!...

As for the PS Tour Tennis final, couldn't play last week because of some scheduling restrictions. But it's set for a go this Friday at 1:15pm at the Seattle Tennis Center. I'm hoping that by 3:15pm I'll be able to shed that stigmatic "one-hit wonder" moniker...ha, ha...
